Happy Thursday Everybody!!!

We can't believe its already the last full day of camp! But that hasn't stopped us having another great day. The weather is still changing more quickly than we can keep up with - but we have managed to be outside pretty much all week.

Last night was cabin choice so cabin's chose where to eat their pizza, we had a sand castle party at the pond, a mud pit party, s'mores being made at the camp site and much much more!

Today is beach day, and fingers crossed we'll have a pool party tonight, we have posted some more pictures, but to see the rest you'll have to be here at 10am tomorrow for the slide show. We hope you all have a safe journey here and we'll see you tomorrow!

Monday and Tuesday

Hello All!

Sorry we did not post last night- we are still getting used to blogging!

Yesterday and Today have been great days. The weather has been partly cloudy but luckily so far we haven't had too much rain! We have been able to enjoy sports, horses, fishing, and music and drama. The pool has probably been one of our most visited activity areas and the kids are loving arts and crafts! Several kids have been able to enjoy the zipline, and we are looking forward to seeing if some more want to give it a try! At outdoor living skills we've been going on hikes and enjoying the sensory input of the great outdoors.

Last night we had an alien invasion and we got to feel lot's of different 'alien parts' like eyeballs, hearts, and brains. We got to make milkshakes and play with oobleck! Tonight we are looking forward to an Everest Expedition!!!

Everyone is getting settled in and starting to get used to camp life. We're pretty sure most of us will not want to leave when the week is over- we're having so much fun! We added more photos last night and we will add more pictures tonight! To see them click here.

Horizon Week

Today marked the beginning of the second week of camp at Rocky Mountain Village. We were greeted with beautiful weather and a fresh group of eager campers. Check-in began at 1 PM and consumed much of the day, however, we were still able to take advantage of the gorgeous weather that escaped us at the beginning of last week. Once everyone was checked-in, many of the campers and their counselors seized the opportunity to explore R.M.V. and get to know one another. Following dinner, the program staff congregated below the lodge to host a skit that introduced their respective cabins as well as the campers therein. As the sun set, songs were sang aside a camp fire before the campers and staff returned to their cabins capping a great first day of camp.

This weeks theme is "Where in the World is...?" so each day we will focus on a different part of the world, moving from outerspace into jungles and beaches! In addition to all of the fantastic camp activities we are going to have some fun all camps like an alien invasion, and a build your own jungle activity!
We are working hard to get lot's of photos of the week. So keep checking back here to see what we are up to.

To look at photo's you can click here or on the photo above. We are doing our best to make sure we get a good sampling of program areas and cabins- but if you do not see your camper here don't worry, it doesn't mean they aren't having a fantastic time- it just means we haven't gotten a chance to clear all of our cameras! Please feel free to make comments and ask questions and we will do our best to get back to you tomorrow evening. Let us know what you think!
