Hooray Sun!

Hello Again!

Sorry we did not post anything yesterday the day just got away with us. Today was a fantastic sunny day. We were able to get outside and enjoy the zipline, horses, fishing and the pool. We even spent time on the deck at arts and crafts and did paint drums at music and drama. It was great to get to run around and expend some energy at sports and recreation.

Tonight was Cabin Choice and we all got to eat pizza at different areas on camp. Rainbow cabin decided to enjoy the views from the new Homebuilders Lodge Deck, Aspen spent the evening at Arts and Crafts, and Sunshine did some fishing and enjoyed the sunset at the brand new docks! Cabin Choice is a great night where we get to spend time doing a special activity with our cabins, and it ends with an optional movie. Tonight we watched the 1961 classic "West Side Story".

We are all looking forward to tomorrow, hoping for some more sun, and our final day of activities! In the evening we will have Vespers and the Dance!

Monday!

Hello All!

Today was a fantastic Monday, even though it did rain quite a bit. The theme this week is Swinging '60's! And today we focused on Conspiracies... We were able to get out in the morning and go fishing, swimming, zip line and climbing wall, and horses. For those of us who did not want to brave the weather we spent time working on ceramics with Jess in arts and crafts, jamming out at music and drama, and making s'mores at outdoor living skills! We also played some indoor soccer, or worked on our engineering skills mastering the tallest tower challenge.

This evening the weather cleared for us, and we were able to determine if we ever actually landed on the moon! We were able to question "key players" in the event and decide for ourselves if it happened. We are hoping for better weather tomorrow but are prepared to do more activities inside if we have to!

We are doing our best to make sure we get a good sampling of program areas and cabins- but if you do not see your camper here don't worry, it doesn't mean they aren't having a fantastic time- it just means we haven't gotten a chance to clear all of our cameras! First Day

Today is officially the first day of the 2009 Rocky Mountain Village summer camp. We have a very eager and enthusiastic staff this year and can't wait to get started! Official check-in begins at 1:00 pm.
