Hi All-
We are so sorry that it is Tuesday and we are just now posting. Things have been super fun and busy here at camp, and time just flew by!
This weeks theme is Wild Wild West and Sunday night was filled with the camp fire and skits. The weather has been great this week and we have been doing tons of camp
activities. Favorites of the week have been swimming, horses,
zip line, and fishing. There has also been a lot going on at music and drama, arts and crafts, sports and outdoor living skills. Monday's theme was Oregon Trail and the evening concluded with campers completing their own version of the Oregon Trail, helping settlers of the old west ford the river, rope in bulls, and gain survival skills.
Today was the Rodeo! It was awesome, the
Westernaires from Golden, Colorado came to put a fantastic Rodeo this morning complete with horse jumping tricks and amazing riding skills. We spent the afternoon working on our own rodeo skills, such as roping, and pig calling. This evening we helped solved the mystery of the ghost town and were able to wake the bellman and the town! We did this with gold panning, cow
corralling, totem pole painting, and even fishing!
All in all it has been a great start to our week and we are looking forward to more Wild West events!
We will be posting pictures a little later tonight. Please make sure you look at them and let us know what you think!
